Family run residential care in Northamptonshire
Supporting adults with learning disabilities aged 18-65 years
Personalised support to achieve individual goals
Welcome to the Mather-Franks Care Group. We are a family fun group of two small residential care homes and a day resource centre for adults with learning disabilities located in Rushden, Northamptonshire. Our two homes are The Conifers and Highbury.
Service users are supported to achieve their fullest potentials through individual tailored person-centred care plans, designed to promote independence, respect dignity and enhance quality of life. Our homes are individually furnished to high standards and operated like small family units, and service users really do make them their own homes, being actively involved in the running of their home. Staff turnover is low, with many of our staff having worked with us for over 20 years. Our service users take part in the recruitment process and all of our staff are DBS and reference checked and undergo regular supervision. We take the safeguarding of our service users very seriously and all of our staff are highly trained about abuse, what could constitute abuse, and how to report any concerns.
Our core values inform our policies and procedures and how we operate as a team. Our core values are Privacy, Dignity, Respect, Independence, Choice, Fulfilment, Empowerment and Achievement.
All of our meals are prepared fresh each day on site, with our service users learning how to prepare food and drinks safely. Service users decide the menu for the following week at our weekly service user meetings and there are always alternative options available on the day. Families are welcome to try our meals! We cater for a range of diets and preferences.
Our homes are homely and reflect each service user's personal choices and needs. We offer a range of activities in-house and out in the local community including armchair exercise, dance, music sessions, swimming, bowling, shopping at local supermarkets, the High Street or Rushden Lakes, arts & crafts, park walks, beauty treatments, relaxation, sensory therapy, gardening, games consoles and supported education.
